Manchester City made a monumental, possibly decisive stride towards securing another Premier League title.

They defeated Tottenham, and Pep Guardiola's squad now controls their destiny heading into the final matchday.

With one match left in the Premier League season, Manchester City holds a two-point lead over Arsenal and has everything in their hands. They will face West Ham in the last round, where they are likely to celebrate another title in England's elite competition.

Against Arsenal, City led 1-0. In the 88th minute, Arsenal had a golden opportunity to turn the game around. Heung Min Son found himself one-on-one with goalkeeper Stefan Ortega, but City's reserve keeper made a stunning save to prevent the equalizer, a pivotal moment in their title quest.

Pep Guardiola's reaction proved the significance of this save. Overcome with excitement and stress, Guardiola fell to the ground and watched the rest of the action from the turf.

Ortega had replaced the regular starter, Ederson, midway through the second half after Ederson took a severe blow to the head. Despite Ederson's displeasure at being substituted, Guardiola didn't want to take any risks, and the goalkeeper change proved to be a masterstroke.

After Tottenham's missed chance, City immediately launched a dangerous attack and earned a penalty, which Erling Haaland confidently converted to secure a 2-0 victory, putting the club on the brink of another championship celebration.
