Manchester City defender Rayan Ait-Nouri gave fans one of the funniest moments of the season after being caught asleep during the club’s FA Cup celebrations.

City secured another trophy at Wembley Stadium after defeating Chelsea 1-0 thanks to a brilliant back-heel winner from Antoine Semenyo.

The victory marked City’s second trophy of the campaign following their earlier Carabao Cup success.

After the final whistle, Pep Guardiola’s squad continued the celebrations on the journey back to Manchester.

Rayan Cherki shared videos from the team bus showing players singing and dancing loudly to Michael Jackson’s classic hit Billie Jean.

However, one player was completely missing from the celebrations.

Ait-Nouri appeared fast asleep in his seat while the rest of the squad partied around him.

Cherki then turned the camera toward the Algerian international and joked about the situation before posting the video online.

Once Ait-Nouri realised he was being filmed, he woke up and smiled directly into the camera.

Cherki captioned the clip:

“Two rooms, two atmospheres.”

The video quickly spread across social media, with Manchester City supporters finding the moment hilarious.

Many fans joked that Ait-Nouri might actually have the smartest recovery plan as City continue chasing another dramatic league title.

Despite not featuring against Chelsea, the 24-year-old defender became one of the unexpected stars of the post-match celebrations.

Manchester City now face two huge matches in the Premier League title race.

Guardiola’s side travel to face Bournemouth before ending the season at home against Aston Villa.

City remain two points behind leaders Arsenal and need victories in both matches while hoping the Gunners drop points in their remaining fixtures.
