Manchester City completed a staggering summer transfer window involving around €863m in incoming and outgoing deals, including €215m spent on deadline day alone.

Manchester City have completed one of the most extraordinary transfer windows football has ever seen, with around €863m worth of incoming and outgoing business transforming Enzo Maresca's squad.
City began the summer relatively quietly before accelerating dramatically towards the deadline. They saved their biggest moves for the final day, spending around €215m in a matter of hours on Enzo Fernandez and Iliman Ndiaye – almost as much as Real Madrid spent during the entire window.
In total, City invested approximately €526m on new players, setting a new record for spending in a single transfer window. The previous benchmark belonged to Liverpool, who spent around €480m last summer during a recruitment drive that included Florian Wirtz, Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike.
Fernandez and Anderson lead unprecedented spending
The headline arrival was Enzo Fernandez, signed from Chelsea for around €145m. The Argentine became the most expensive signing in City's history, while England international Elliot Anderson followed closely at approximately €135m.
City also spent around €95m on Ayyoub Bouaddi, while Brazilian midfielder Allan Elias arrived from Palmeiras for €37.5m and French prospect Mathys Detourbet cost €25m. Jeremy Mongo and goalkeepers Geronimo Rulli and Pierce Charles accounted for another €19m combined.
The enormous expenditure was partly offset by an equally remarkable number of departures. City generated around €337m from player sales, meaning the club's net investment was significantly lower than the headline spending figure suggests.
Savinho, Tijjani Reijnders, Rodri, Nico Gonzalez, James Trafford, Manuel Akanji, Nathan Ake and Issa Kabore were among those sold, while John Stones and Bernardo Silva departed after their contracts expired.
There were further changes through the loan market, with Jack Grealish returning to Everton and Omar Marmoush also leaving temporarily.
The final numbers illustrate the scale of City's rebuild: approximately €526m spent, €337m recovered and around €863m worth of total transfer activity. Few clubs have ever transformed a squad so aggressively in a single summer.
