Manchester City is keen on signing Dženan Pejčinović, one of Germany's brightest talents, despite his recent foot injury. The young forward is seen as a long-term investment.

One of the biggest talents in German football, Dženan Pejčinović, could continue his career with Manchester City, which has been monitoring him for some time.

Pejčinović was born in Munich and holds both German and Montenegrin citizenship. He played in the youth ranks of Bayern Munich and Augsburg. Despite having offers from clubs like Ajax, Juventus, Chelsea, and Manchester City, he decided to join Wolfsburg last year.

His stats have been remarkable, scoring 31 goals in 21 competitive matches for Wolfsburg's youth team. His record with Germany's youth national teams is equally impressive, with 38 appearances and 38 goals over the past few years.

Pejčinović has made four appearances for Wolfsburg's first team, but in the penultimate match of the season, he suffered a broken metatarsal.

Despite this, there is no doubt about his class, and Manchester City is prepared to sign him after his youth tenure ends.

Wolfsburg's coach Ralph Hasenhüttl recently hinted at the possibility of Pejčinović going out on loan, and City sees this as an opportunity to acquire him, reports Kicker. Initially, he would have limited playing time due to the presence of Erling Haaland, but the chance to train under Pep Guardiola and play in City's U-21 team is very appealing.

Moreover, City has various partner clubs, such as Girona, a Champions League participant from Spain, which could be an additional option for this transfer.

Pejčinović has been nicknamed "the new Džeko" at Wolfsburg. He mentioned in an interview with Kicker that his role model is Harry Kane, but he acknowledges that people compare him more to Edin Džeko due to their similar playing style.

Pejčinović's parents are from Plav, and it is not known whether he would be eligible for Bosnian-Herzegovinian sports citizenship. However, if the player expressed interest, the Bosnian Football Association should do everything possible to encourage him to wear their jersey.
