Manchester City, the most successful English club in recent years, is just one step away from clinching the Premier League title.

In a rescheduled match from round 34, City triumphed 2-0 against Tottenham, leaving them two points ahead of Arsenal with one game left.

The hero of the match at the Etihad Stadium in London was Erling Haaland, who scored both goals for City. Despite not being heavily involved in the action, Haaland’s brace reinforced his status as one of the best footballers in the world.

The first goal came from a Kevin De Bruyne assist, and Haaland sealed the victory a few minutes before the end with a penalty. Typically cold and composed, Haaland admitted this time was different.

"I was incredibly nervous when taking that penalty. Even scared. The only thing on my mind was focusing on putting the ball into the net. Usually, I'm calm and collected in such situations, but this time I felt nervous like never before," Haaland told the media after the match.

Manchester City will host West Ham at home in the final match on Sunday. A win will secure their fourth consecutive Premier League title. Arsenal hopes for a City loss or at least a draw, in which case they must beat Everton. Currently, Arsenal has a better goal difference, which decides the champion if the teams are level on points.
