Manchester United moved within one point of the Champions League zone after a 4-1 win over bottom club Wolves, as Benjamin Šešek’s agent confirmed his comeback is near.

Manchester United are back in the race for a Champions League spot after a 4-1 win over struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford. Despite facing the Premier League’s bottom team, United fans endured another nervy night as their side once again looked shaky in defence before sealing the win in the second half.

Wolves arrived in Manchester with just two points and no goals in several matches, making United the clear favourites. However, Ruben Amorim’s men struggled early on and allowed the visitors to equalise before half-time, exposing the same defensive fragility that has plagued them all season.

In the second half, United finally took control. Bryan Mbeumo, Mason Mount, and Bruno Fernandes all found the net to secure a convincing victory and keep their European ambitions alive. The result pushes United into sixth place after 15 rounds, just one point behind fourth — the final Champions League qualification spot.

Meanwhile, Slovenian fans had another reason to watch closely. Benjamin Šešek’s agent, Elvis Bašanović, appeared on Arena Sport during the broadcast and confirmed that the young striker’s knee injury recovery is progressing faster than expected. “Benjamin is preparing to return soon — possibly even earlier than many think,” Bašanović revealed, without giving a specific date.

Šešek has been sidelined since early autumn but is expected to rejoin the squad before the new year. His return would provide much-needed firepower to a United side still searching for consistency in attack and balance in defence.

European football remains the club’s top priority this season, and with form improving and key players returning, Ruben Amorim may finally have a squad capable of challenging for the top four — and perhaps even silverware.
