Manchester United supporters believe Xavi could become the club’s next manager after spotting a viral photo involving the former Barcelona coach and his son.
Manchester United fans are convinced that Xavi could become the club’s next manager after spotting what they believe is a major clue in a viral social media photo.
The former Barcelona coach has been without a club since leaving the Catalan giants two years ago, and speculation around his future continues to grow.
At the moment, Michael Carrick remains in interim charge at Old Trafford following the January departure of Ruben Amorim.
Carrick has improved results significantly since taking over and there is a growing possibility that he could keep the job permanently next season.
Even so, part of the Manchester United fanbase remains unconvinced.
Many supporters fear the club could repeat what happened in 2019, when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer received the job permanently after a successful interim spell.
Because of that, some fans are demanding a more experienced and internationally proven coach.
Xavi has quickly become one of the names most discussed online.
The latest wave of excitement started after a photo appeared on social media showing the Spanish legend watching a street football performer together with his son, Dan.
What immediately caught the attention of supporters was the fact that Xavi’s son was dressed in a complete Manchester United outfit.
Fans instantly began interpreting the image as a hidden signal.
One supporter wrote:
"Xavi, come save us."
Another commented:
"I've seen enough, appoint him, Carrick ball is stinky."
A third fan added:
"Bring this guy home, he's begging for it."
Another reaction read:
"Man United board should just sign this guy up. Better than Carrick by miles."
Xavi has never hidden his admiration for the Premier League.
Back in 2019, the former midfield genius openly admitted he would be interested in managing one of England’s biggest clubs.
"Who doesn't like the Premier League?" Xavi said at the time.
"The football atmosphere, the packed stadiums and the people who play in the Premier League say it's extraordinary."
"Obviously, if I had to choose, I would choose a big team, City or United, Chelsea, Arsenal or Tottenham."
Manchester United are not the only club reportedly monitoring his situation.
Chelsea have also been linked with the 46-year-old coach as they continue evaluating long-term options for the future.
For now, there is no official confirmation of negotiations between Xavi and Manchester United.
Still, one simple viral photo was enough to send the club’s supporters into full transfer-window mode, even when it comes to managers.
