Manchester United are reportedly preparing a move for Newcastle left-back Lewis Hall as uncertainty continues to grow at St. James' Park.

Manchester United are reportedly ready to capitalize on the uncertainty surrounding Newcastle United by launching a move for highly rated left back Lewis Hall.
The England international has emerged as one of the Premier League's most impressive young full backs, and strengthening the left side of the defense has become one of United's priorities ahead of the new season.
Reports earlier this summer suggested Manchester United were interested in Hall, but negotiations never progressed. Now, with Newcastle facing major upheaval, the Red Devils are believed to be ready to revive their pursuit.
The situation at St. James' Park has changed dramatically in recent weeks. Midfielder Sandro Tonali and winger Anthony Gordon have already departed, captain Bruno Guimaraes is expected to follow, and head coach Eddie Howe has also left the club.
With uncertainty surrounding Newcastle's immediate future, Manchester United believe they have a realistic opportunity to convince Hall to move to Old Trafford.
United manager Michael Carrick is keen to strengthen the left side of his defense despite Luke Shaw playing all 38 Premier League matches last season. Meanwhile, Patrick Dorgu has frequently been used in a more advanced role on the wing, increasing the need for another specialist left back.
Hall, who developed through Chelsea's academy, joined Newcastle permanently in 2024 for a fee of around €33 million. Since then, he has established himself as one of the club's key players and one of England's brightest young defenders.
Newcastle are expected to demand at least €50 million before considering a sale. The 21-year-old remains under contract until the summer of 2029, giving the Magpies a strong negotiating position despite the current uncertainty surrounding the club.
For Manchester United, signing Hall would represent another important step in rebuilding a squad capable of competing at the highest level. After returning to the UEFA Champions League, Carrick is determined to add quality and depth as United prepare for a demanding campaign both in England and Europe.
