Enzo Kana-Biyik, 18-year-old striker from a footballing family, joins Manchester United and will begin his journey in the INEOS multi-club system by playing in Switzerland.
Manchester United are embracing the multi-club ownership model, and their latest move reflects it clearly. According to reports from France, Enzo Kana-Biyik, a highly-rated 18-year-old striker from Le Havre, is set to become an official member of the Premier League side—but won’t start his journey at Old Trafford.
Instead, Kana-Biyik will be sent to Swiss Super League side Lausanne, a club owned by Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS Group, which recently acquired a minority stake in Manchester United with major sporting control. If he impresses in Switzerland, a step up to Ligue 1 side OGC Nice—another INEOS-owned club—could follow. A future at Manchester United remains the ultimate goal.
A rising talent from a football dynasty
Kana-Biyik made his name in Le Havre’s youth ranks, showcasing a sharp eye for goal and strong athletic attributes. But beyond his on-field promise, his background makes headlines too.
Football runs deep in the Kana-Biyik family:
-
His father, André Kana-Biyik, played for Le Havre and Metz, and won the Africa Cup of Nations with Cameroon.
-
His older brother Jean-Armel played for clubs including Rennes, Toulouse, and Metz.
-
His younger brother Lorenzo, just 15, is part of PSG’s youth setup.
-
His uncle François Omam-Biyik played for Marseille, Lens, Sampdoria, and was assistant coach of Cameroon.
The move also signals Manchester United’s growing integration into the elite multi-club structure dominated by groups like City Football Group, Red Bull, BlueCo, and QSI—a model increasingly used to develop talent globally.
