Marcus Rashford could join Serie A’s Como as interest from Italian clubs grows. The Manchester United star is linked with a potential January loan move.
Speculation around Marcus Rashford’s future at Manchester United is intensifying. The England international has struggled for form this season and has fallen out of favor under new manager Ruben Amorim. With a limited role in the squad, a loan move in January is becoming increasingly likely, especially as few clubs are willing to take on his hefty wages permanently.
Initially, Juventus and AC Milan were touted as potential destinations for the 26-year-old winger. However, in a surprising twist, Como has reportedly joined the race to secure Rashford’s services. According to well-connected journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the ambitious Serie A side, backed by billionaire Hartono brothers, is eager to add star power to their roster.
Currently fighting to avoid relegation, Como sits 16th in Serie A, just one point above the relegation zone. The club, managed by Cesc Fàbregas, has already been active in the January transfer window, bringing in Assane Diao from Real Betis and Jean Butez from Royal Antwerp. Adding a marquee name like Rashford would significantly boost their survival hopes and signal their intent to grow into a competitive force in Italian football.
