Following the disciplinary action taken against Maribor football club for an incident during a match against Mura, the Ljudski vrt stadium will remain empty for the next four home games.
This decision comes as part of the sanctions imposed by the Disciplinary Judge of the Football Association of Slovenia (NZS).
Maribor football club, recently penalized for a serious incident during the derby against Mura, will face the additional consequence of playing four home matches without the presence of spectators. The club has the right to appeal the decision within three days of receiving the disciplinary hearing record. However, if the decision becomes final, Maribor will have to close its stadium doors for an extended period.
The matches to be played without spectators, unless there are changes, are scheduled as follows:
March 2nd against Domžale
March 6th against Radomlje (Cup match)
March 13th against Koper
March 16th against Radomlje
If the penalty is executed in these four matches, the Ljudski vrt stadium is expected to reopen for spectators on April 6th, when Mura will visit.
The disciplinary record states, "The penalty of playing four (4) home matches without spectators will be executed upon the finality of this decision in the first four consecutive home matches. If any of the home matches are not played, it will be executed in each subsequent match that NK Maribor plays as the home team."
