Mason Greenwood meets Zinedine Zidane during Marseille team event at Z5 Padel centre, as forward continues strong form following move from Manchester United.
Mason Greenwood enjoyed a special moment this week as Marseille visited Zinedine Zidane’s Z5 Padel centre for a team-building session.
The Marseille squad, led by coach Habib Beye, took part in the visit just days after a 1-0 Ligue 1 win over Auxerre, using the opportunity to relax and strengthen team spirit.
The highlight of the day was a meeting with Zidane, with Greenwood among the players pictured greeting the France legend.
Marseille shared images from the visit on social media.
"Padel time. Cohesion, sharing and a warm atmosphere," the club posted, thanking Zidane for hosting the squad.
Off the pitch, the trip offered a break from a demanding schedule, but on it, Greenwood continues to deliver.
The English forward, who joined from Manchester United for €26 million in 2024, has been one of Marseille’s standout performers this season.
He has recorded 25 goals and 8 assists in 38 appearances, including 15 goals in Ligue 1 and 3 goals in the Champions League.
The visit underlined the blend of football culture and lifestyle, with Greenwood meeting one of the game’s greatest figures while enjoying a strong campaign in France.
