Mauro Icardi issued a legal defense after breaching a restraining order linked to Wanda Nara, sparking fresh controversy over their daughters’ custody and family tensions.
Mauro Icardi, striker for Galatasaray, has defended himself through legal channels following a new controversy involving his daughters and their mother, Wanda Nara. His legal team issued a statement addressing accusations of violating a restraining order imposed by the Public Ministry, which barred contact between Wanda and the children.
The legal document was unveiled on a morning news show, shedding light on the latest twist in the couple’s ongoing custody battle. Over the weekend, images emerged of Icardi’s daughters spending time with Eugenia “La China” Suárez and her children—fueling speculation of a provocation aimed at Nara.
In the statement, Icardi’s lawyers explained: “The recommendation from the Public Ministry was for the girls to have personal time with their father. However, upon learning that Eugenia and her children would be present, the situation naturally unfolded.” They stressed the meeting was spontaneous and carried no malicious intent.
The legal team accused Nara of promoting a toxic narrative that damages Icardi’s paternal relationship, arguing the girls enjoyed their time with their father. The statement also denounced Wanda’s “misogynistic hatred” towards Suárez, urging that adult conflicts should not impact the children’s well-being.
Upon returning from a trip to Brazil, Wanda Nara shared her distress with reporters. “I felt very upset because I had high hopes for this reconnection, and now it’s all gone wrong,” she said. “I feel it was a waste of time, and it pains me that everything has fallen apart. It’s up to each individual to make their own choices. I just have to support my daughters, as they are very distressed right now.”
Nara also spoke of the emotional toll the legal battle has taken. “These are all very painful situations. I am no longer the one recording conversations; this time it’s a social worker who is listening to the girls,” she revealed, emphasizing the seriousness of the family’s current struggles.
