Maya Jama shared a sweet moment from the set of Love Island, sending virtual kisses to boyfriend Ruben Dias following Portugal’s dramatic penalty shootout win over Spain in the UEFA Nations League final.
Manchester City star Dias played the full 120 minutes in the final at Allianz Arena, where Portugal twice came from behind thanks to goals from Nuno Mendes and Cristiano Ronaldo. The match ended 2-2 and was decided by penalties, with Diogo Costa saving Alvaro Morata’s attempt to seal a 5-3 shootout victory.
Ronaldo left the pitch injured in the 88th minute and watched the penalties from the sidelines before lifting the trophy in tears. Dias now adds a second Nations League title to his name.
Back in Majorca, where Jama is filming the new season of Love Island, she reacted to Dias’ Instagram post by dropping love hearts and kiss emojis, publicly celebrating her partner’s achievement.
The couple, whose relationship became public earlier this year, continues to balance careers in different industries—Dias with City and Portugal, and Jama with her growing influence in British entertainment and sport through Love Island and Baller League UK.
Dias will enjoy a short break before heading to the Club World Cup in the United States with Manchester City.
