The Argentine star led Inter Miami to a 4-2 away win over Orlando City, scoring twice and driving the comeback in the latest MLS round. Alongside the victory came another personal landmark.
As highlighted by Fabrizio Romano, Messi has now scored 70 career free-kick goals, moving into fourth place on the all-time list.

Marcelinho Carioca leads with 78.
Roberto Dinamite follows with 75.
Juninho Pernambucano sits third with 72.
Most of Messi’s free-kick goals came during his era at Barcelona, with additional strikes at Paris Saint-Germain. He now continues to raise his total in the United States.
Another milestone is within reach. Messi stands two goals away from the 900-goal career mark, while Cristiano Ronaldo continues his chase toward the historic 1,000-goal barrier.
