Aleksandar Mitrović has become Al Hilal’s third-best foreign scorer with 59 goals in 62 games. The Serbian striker continues to rewrite records for the Saudi giants.
Aleksandar Mitrović has cemented his place as one of the greatest foreign players in Al Hilal and Asian football history. Since joining one of Asia's most successful clubs—winners of four AFC Champions League titles and 19 league championships—Mitrović has delivered an incredible goal-scoring record in all competitions.
With 59 goals already scored for Al Hilal, the Serbian national team captain has drawn level with Thiago Neves on the club’s all-time foreign scorers list. He will have the opportunity to surpass that milestone on Tuesday at 17:00, when Al Hilal faces Al Sadd in Qatar in the 5th round of the AFC Champions League.
Mitrović now trails only two players in Al Hilal’s history:
- Carlos Eduardo (81 goals)
- Bafétimbi Gomis (113 goals)
Remarkably, Mitrović has reached his tally in just 62 appearances, compared to over 150 matches played by both Eduardo and Gomis. With an astonishing average of 0.95 goals per match, Al Hilal fans can virtually rely on Mitrović to score in every game. Additionally, he has provided 11 assists, further showcasing his all-around contribution to the team.
Despite his incredible individual statistics, Mitrović prioritizes team success above personal accolades. His unrelenting drive has helped Al Hilal maintain an impressive run this season, with 17 wins in their first 19 matches across all competitions. The team has recorded only one draw (1-1 against Al Nassr) and one loss (2-3 against Al Khalij) in the league.
As Mitrović continues his relentless form, he edges closer to solidifying his legacy as one of Al Hilal's greatest-ever players.
