The Monumental Stadium was electric ahead of River Plate’s second-leg Libertadores semi-final against Atletico Mineiro. With over 80,000 passionate fans, the stadium transformed into a true "cauldron" as fireworks, choreography, and chants set the stage for an unforgettable night.
Despite the roaring support, River Plate faced an uphill battle after a 0-3 defeat in the first leg. Fueled by the fans' energy, the team launched a relentless attack in Buenos Aires, recording 16 shots in the first half alone. However, the Brazilian side held firm, securing their place in the Libertadores final with an aggregate score of 3-0.
Mineiro is now set for a likely showdown with their domestic rival Botafogo, who dominated Penarol 5-0 in the first leg of the other semi-final.
