Morgan Gibbs-White has been rewarded for his outstanding recent form after winning the Premier League Player of the Month award for April.
The Nottingham Forest captain received the prestigious individual honor for the first time in his career following a brilliant month that helped his club move significantly closer to Premier League survival.
The England international delivered extraordinary numbers in only three league appearances during April.
Gibbs-White scored four goals and added one assist, becoming the driving force behind Forest’s dramatic improvement in results.
His most unforgettable performance came against Burnley.
The attacking midfielder produced a sensational hat-trick in only fifteen minutes during Forest’s emphatic 4:1 victory.
The performance completely changed the momentum of the match and quickly became one of the standout individual displays of the Premier League month.
Gibbs-White also shined away from home against Sunderland, where Nottingham Forest secured a dominant 5:0 victory.
Once again, the midfielder played a decisive role by scoring and providing an assist.
Forest also collected an important draw against Aston Villa, continuing the positive run under coach Vitor Pereira.
Thanks largely to Gibbs-White’s influence, Nottingham Forest moved six points clear of the relegation zone with only three rounds remaining in the season.
The award places Gibbs-White in a very exclusive group in club history.
He became only the second Nottingham Forest player ever to win the Premier League Player of the Month prize after Chris Wood, who achieved the same feat in October 2024.
The competition for the award was strong.
Gibbs-White finished ahead of players including Jarrod Bowen, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Rayan Cherki, Nico O'Reilly, Pascal Gross, Noah Okafor and Alex Scott.
The winner was selected through a combination of fan voting and decisions from a Premier League expert panel.
In Nottingham, however, supporters are praising more than only his football performances.
Just days after suffering a serious facial injury against Chelsea, Gibbs-White still appeared on the bench during Forest’s European semi-final clash against Aston Villa.
The midfielder was visibly carrying heavy bruising and stitches across his forehead following the collision with goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.
Even though he could not play, he spent the evening passionately supporting teammates from the sidelines.
Images of the injured but smiling captain quickly spread across social media, with many supporters describing him as a symbol of leadership, fighting spirit and loyalty to Nottingham Forest.
