Real Madrid will begin their Champions League campaign against Inter without Arda Güler, Eduardo Camavinga and Bernardo Silva, who must serve suspensions carried over from last season.

The Spanish giants will be without Arda Güler, Eduardo Camavinga and Bernardo Silva, with all three suspended following red cards during last season's Champions League campaign.
Under UEFA regulations, suspensions resulting from red cards are carried over into the following season, while accumulated yellow cards are cleared when the campaign ends.
Güler and Camavinga punished against Bayern
Güler and Camavinga were both sent off during Real Madrid's dramatic Champions League quarter-final elimination against Bayern Munich. Real lost the second leg 4-3, with both midfielders receiving second yellow cards.
Güler's dismissal was particularly unusual because his second booking came after the final whistle following protests towards the referee. There was initially concern that the Turkish international could receive an additional suspension, but he will miss the Inter match.
Camavinga was also dismissed late in the same game and will serve his suspension when Real begin their new European campaign.
Bernardo Silva's suspension came against Real Madrid
Bernardo Silva's situation has an added twist. The Portuguese midfielder received his suspension while still playing for Manchester City – and the red card came against his current club.
Silva deliberately stopped a goal with his hand during the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Real Madrid. He was sent off, Real were awarded a penalty that Vinicius Junior took, and the resulting suspension has followed Silva to the Bernabéu.
Mourinho could have another concern in midfield, with Aurelien Tchouameni not yet fully fit after returning from the World Cup and currently dealing with a minor injury. Real therefore face Inter with their midfield options significantly reduced before their Champions League campaign has even begun.
