Napoli are wasting no time ahead of the summer transfer window, with multiple key targets lined up as the Serie A leaders prepare for a return to the Champions League next season.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Napoli have submitted an offer for Georgiy Sudakov, the 22-year-old Ukrainian midfielder currently at Shakhtar Donetsk. Negotiations are ongoing, with Shakhtar reportedly open to a transfer for around €35 million. The player himself is said to be ready to make the move to Italy.
Sudakov, one of Ukraine's brightest young talents, has a contract with Shakhtar running until 2028. He has been with the club since 2021, and this season has delivered 11 goals and 4 assists in 24 appearances.
Meanwhile, Napoli are also close to reaching an agreement with Florentino Luís, the 25-year-old Portuguese midfielder from Benfica. Journalist Matteo Moretto reports that Napoli have offered Florentino a five-year deal worth €2.5 million per season. While personal terms are nearly finalised, the clubs have yet to reach an agreement on the transfer fee.
In addition to strengthening the midfield, Napoli are also exploring attacking reinforcements. Jonathan David, the prolific Canadian forward from Lille, is on their shortlist. The 24-year-old has been consistently linked with a move to a top European club and would bring much-needed firepower to Napoli's frontline.
All this comes amid ongoing reports that Kevin De Bruyne could also be in the mix. The Manchester City midfielder is reportedly available on a free transfer this summer, with his contract expiring in June. While Napoli are just one of several clubs linked with the Belgian star, talks have reportedly taken place.
Though the summer window officially opens in July, Napoli are already operating at full speed to shape a squad capable of challenging on both domestic and European fronts.
