Juventus wants to sign Sandro Tonali from Newcastle and is prepared to offer Dušan Vlahović as part of the deal. The Serbian striker could replace Isak if he joins Liverpool.
Dušan Vlahović could be on the move this summer, and Newcastle United has emerged as a new and unexpected contender for the Serbian striker’s signature. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus is pushing hard to sign Sandro Tonali, and they’re ready to include several players in a swap deal—with Vlahović as the main bargaining chip.
Newcastle reportedly values Tonali at €60–70 million, a figure that may be too steep for Juventus to pay outright. That’s why the Italian club is open to offering players in return, and Vlahović fits perfectly into the equation, especially if Alexander Isak completes his rumored move to Liverpool this summer.
With 14 goals and 3 assists this season, Vlahović remains Juventus' top scorer, but his position at the club has become uncertain. Under previous coach Thiago Motta, he lost his starting place, especially after the arrival of Randal Kolo Muani in January. However, with Igor Tudor taking over, the Serbian striker returned to the starting XI and delivered an assist in his first match back.
Vlahović’s contract with Juventus expires in 2026, but with no extension signed, the club is now exploring exit options. Besides Newcastle, Barcelona has also been linked as a potential destination, seeing Vlahović as a possible successor to 36-year-old Robert Lewandowski.
Juventus and Newcastle have already worked together this season—Lloyd Kelly joined Juve on loan in January, which could smooth the path for further negotiations. Along with Vlahović, Juventus could offer other players like Douglas Luiz, who has struggled with injuries since arriving from Aston Villa, and Federico Gatti.
Still, if Isak departs, Vlahović would likely be the most attractive option for Newcastle to fill that void.
