Dušan Vlahović returned early from international duty to train with Juventus, impressing new coach Igor Tudor and possibly earning a fresh chance in the starting XI.

Dušan Vlahović could be set for a fresh start at Juventus under new head coach Igor Tudor, after the Serbian striker turned down a scheduled day off and reported to training earlier than expected — a gesture that immediately impressed the Croatian manager.

Vlahović returned from international duty in high spirits, having scored in Serbia’s win over Austria at the Rajko Mitić Stadium — a key result that secured the Eagles' spot in UEFA Nations League A. His strong performance has clearly boosted his confidence, especially after recent struggles at club level.

During the tenure of former coach Thiago Motta, Vlahović had been relegated to the bench, with Randal Kolo Muani often preferred up front. But poor results ultimately led to Motta's dismissal, and Tudor was brought in to steady the ship.

Upon arrival, Tudor granted all international players an extra rest day — but Vlahović declined, choosing instead to return to training immediately. That move did not go unnoticed.

"Tudor was impressed by Vlahović’s attitude and work ethic from the first day," sources close to the club reported. With a known appreciation for physical, high-intensity forwards, Tudor may see Vlahović as a central figure in his system going forward.

Juventus are currently fifth in Serie A, just one point behind Bologna, who occupy the final Champions League spot. The race for top four is wide open, and Vlahović could be a key figure in the final stretch.

Juventus next play on Saturday, March 29, at home against Genoa, and all eyes will be on whether Vlahović returns to the starting lineup.
