Erling Haaland has smashed Alan Shearer’s record, reaching 100 Premier League goals in just 111 matches. The Manchester City striker is rapidly climbing the all-time list.
Erling Haaland has rewritten Premier League history. The 25-year-old Norwegian striker reached the landmark of 100 league goals on a wild night in London, scoring in Manchester City’s 5:4 win over Fulham. With this achievement, Haaland has shattered a record previously held by Alan Shearer.
Haaland needed only 111 Premier League appearances to score his first 100 goals. Shearer, the league’s all-time top scorer, required 124 matches to reach the same milestone, while Harry Kane needed 141. Even the greats who dominated the league for years – Sergio Agüero (147 matches) and Thierry Henry (160) – are far behind Haaland’s extraordinary pace.
In the current campaign, Haaland is again producing towering numbers, delivering 20 goals in 19 appearances, along with three assists. His consistency is unmatched, and every week he strengthens his status as the Premier League’s most unstoppable goalscorer.
Haaland’s position on the all-time Premier League scoring list
With his latest strike, Haaland now sits 34th, level with Matt Le Tissier. Only three more goals separate him from Cristiano Ronaldo on 103, while four would take him past Didier Drogba, and six past Darren Bent, who holds 31st place.
The summit remains far above — Alan Shearer leads with 260 goals, followed by Harry Kane (213), Wayne Rooney (208), Mohamed Salah (190) and Andy Cole (187). Yet given Haaland’s current ratio, the question is not whether he will reach the top, but how far he can go if he stays healthy and remains in England.
His next opportunity to climb the charts will likely come on Saturday against Sunderland, before City travel to Spain to face Real Madrid in the Champions League.
