Nottingham Forest have reportedly offered €22 million for Juventus wingers Timothy Weah and Samuel Mbangula, both currently competing in the Club World Cup in the U.S.
Nottingham Forest are looking to make a bold double swoop this summer, with reports from ESPN claiming the Premier League side has submitted an offer to Juventus for wingers Timothy Weah and Samuel Mbangula.
The English club is said to have tabled a bid worth €22 million for the two players, who are currently representing Juventus in the ongoing Club World Cup in the United States.
The potential transfers come after a sensational season for Forest, who returned to European football for the first time in two decades. The club is now aggressively targeting reinforcements to continue their Premier League rise and establish themselves among England’s elite.
While Forest are also pursuing Botafogo’s Igor Jesus, their move for the Juventus pair reflects a strategy to bring in versatile wide players with international experience.
Timothy Weah, the 24-year-old U.S. international, made 43 appearances last season, recording six goals and five assists. His pace and work rate have earned him consistent minutes under Massimiliano Allegri.
Samuel Mbangula, the 23-year-old Belgian winger, contributed four goals and five assists across 32 matches, and is considered one of Juventus’ emerging talents.
It remains unclear whether Juventus are willing to accept Forest’s €22 million offer, but with the Italian club undergoing internal restructuring and preparing for key sales this summer, the proposal may be seriously considered.
Should the deal go through, it would represent a major statement of intent from Forest, who continue to push for both depth and quality as they eye another successful campaign at the top level.
