Brazilian striker Igor Jesus has joined Nottingham Forest from Botafogo. Known for his ‘Kamehameha’ goal celebration, he becomes Nuno Espirito Santo’s first reinforcement for the new season.
Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Igor Jesus, a 24-year-old Brazilian striker known as much for his finishing as for his Dragon Ball-inspired goal celebration.
Jesus joins from Botafogo and becomes the first summer addition under head coach Nuno Espirito Santo. He most recently caught attention at the World Cup in Lublin, where he scored twice in four matches, including a standout goal in a surprise win over Paris Saint-Germain during the group stage.
The new arrival is a former player for Coritiba and also spent time at Al Shabab Ahli in the United Arab Emirates before returning to Brazil. He made his debut for the Brazilian national team last year and is seen as a player entering his prime.
Forest, known for their heavy transfer activity in recent years, have been more measured this summer. Igor Jesus is their first signing of the window, while Wayne Hennessey, Andrew Omobamidele, and Loïc Mbe Soh (Panza) have all departed.
The striker is especially popular among fans for his trademark ‘Kamehameha’ celebration, inspired by Goku, the iconic protagonist of the *Dragon Ball* anime series. His charisma and flair could add both goals and entertainment to Forest’s front line.

The club, which features Miran Pavlin among its key decision-makers, is expected to make further moves in the market, but Igor Jesus already signals a bold and colourful start to their Premier League campaign.
