Borussia Dortmund, under coach Nuri Sahin, has implemented strict fines for players for even the smallest infractions, emphasizing professionalism and discipline.

Financial penalties for players are nothing new in top European football clubs, but at Borussia Dortmund, Nuri Sahin has taken things to another level by introducing fines for practically every rule violation. According to Bild, Sahin, a former Dortmund player himself, has established a strict system of fines to maintain discipline.

The fines are far from trivial. For example, if a player is late for training, an appointment, or a team meeting, they are fined €100. If the infraction occurs on a matchday, the penalty skyrockets to €3000. Missing a club event? That will cost a hefty €5000.

Forgetful players aren't spared either. If someone misses a weigh-in, they’ll have to fork over €250. Using a smartphone during team activities? That’s another €100. Players who fail to sign official club photos by the given deadline are fined €2000, and there’s even a penalty for not signing jerseys.

Messy players face a €100 fine for leaving a disorganized locker, while showing up to a club event in inappropriate attire results in a €250 penalty. Borussia Dortmund, under Sahin, clearly values punctuality, a professional attitude, and maintaining a quality relationship with fans.

Tonight, Borussia Dortmund takes on Celtic in the Champions League at Westfalenstadion, kicking off at 21:00.
