Barcelona have confirmed Hansi Flick will remain head coach until 2027 after leading the club to a stunning domestic treble and four wins over Real Madrid in his first season.
Hansi Flick has officially renewed his contract with Barcelona until June 2027, following a spectacular first season that saw him guide the club to a domestic treble and dominate arch-rivals Real Madrid in every encounter.
The club announced the news on Wednesday: “Barcelona and Hansi Flick have reached an agreement for the renewal of his contract, which will tie him to the club until 30 June 2027.”
After a turbulent period marked by managerial changes and inconsistent performances, Flick arrived last summer with the task of rebuilding. The result? A La Liga title, a Copa del Rey, and a Spanish Super Cup — all secured with his high-tempo, modern football approach.
Equally impressive was his dominance over Real Madrid, with four victories in four Clasicos this season, including two cup final wins. Flick now stands just one win away from surpassing Pep Guardiola's record of five consecutive Clasico victories to start a Barcelona reign.
