Carlo Ancelotti will remain Brazil coach beyond the 2026 World Cup after signing a contract extension through to 2030.
Carlo Ancelotti will continue leading Brazil beyond the upcoming World Cup after officially signing a new contract extension with the five-time world champions.
The legendary Italian coach is now tied to the Brazilian national team until at least the 2030 World Cup.
Ancelotti accepted the Brazil job last May following the end of his long and successful period at Real Madrid.
The extension arrives only one month before the start of the 2026 World Cup, which will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
So far, Ancelotti has managed Brazil in ten matches.
His record currently stands at five victories, two draws, and three defeats, with Brazil scoring 18 goals and conceding eight.
The Seleção will compete in Group C at the World Cup alongside Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland.
Brazilian supporters will expect the team to comfortably finish top of the group as they chase a sixth world title.
Ancelotti expressed his excitement after confirming the extension.
“I came to Brazil a year ago and realized how much football means here,” he said.
“We are working hard to bring the team back to the top of world football, and I have the highest ambitions, and the same goes for the Brazilian Football Confederation.”
“I am happy to announce that we will continue our journey together at least until the 2030 World Cup.”
Before the tournament begins, Brazil will play friendly matches against Panama and Egypt on May 31 and June 7.
The extension sends a strong signal that Brazil’s football federation believes Ancelotti remains the right figure to rebuild the national team’s global dominance.
The experienced coach has already won league titles and Champions League trophies across Europe, and Brazil now hope he can add international glory to his extraordinary career.
