São Paulo signs Oscar on a three-year deal, with sponsor Superbet covering over half of his €375,000 monthly salary after his departure from Shanghai Port.
São Paulo FC has officially announced the return of Oscar, who signs a three-year contract with the club after leaving Shanghai Port in China. The announcement was preempted by club president Julio Casares, who shared a photo with Oscar on his Instagram, sparking excitement among fans.
"A meeting with the star Oscar this week… Any resemblance is mere coincidence? Without planning it, we were already in sync with our uniforms. Working to ensure we’re also aligned in 2025!" Casares wrote, adding the hashtag #SuperReforço.
Oscar, who was a free agent, will earn €375,000 per month, totaling €4.5 million annually. The club’s main sponsor, Superbet, will pay a significant portion of his salary—around €2.4 million annually, while São Paulo will cover the remainder.
The move comes after significant pressure from fans for the club and its sponsors to bring in a marquee signing. São Paulo also shared official photos and videos of Oscar’s arrival, cementing him as a key reinforcement for the upcoming seasons.
