Victor Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, claims he's worth over €100 million, stating there are few players with his skills and success.
Victor Osimhen recently spoke on Galatasaray's official channels, confidently asserting his value and reflecting on his career achievements. The Nigerian striker, currently on loan from Napoli, hinted that he expects a top club to one day pay around €100 million for his transfer.
This summer was filled with transfer speculation for Osimhen, with rumors linking him to multiple clubs. As the Saudi Pro League appeared to be a likely destination, the forward pushed for a late move to Chelsea. However, negotiations broke down, and a transfer wasn’t completed, leaving all parties disappointed.
With the Turkish transfer window still open, Galatasaray stepped in, securing Osimhen on loan for the season. In a recent interview, Osimhen made it clear that his market value hasn’t diminished despite playing in a lesser-known league:
"I’m worth more than €100 million. There are few players like me in the world, with my style and the success I've achieved," the forward stated.
"The price reflects my characteristics, what I do on the field, and my quality. I believe I deserve it, I know what I’ve done and what I can still achieve."
He further elaborated:
"Some say I'm worth €15 million, others say €100, 120, or 150 million. In football, everyone has their own opinion."
Osimhen has made an immediate impact at Galatasaray, with 2 goals and 3 assists in his first 4 matches. The club has been undefeated with him in the lineup, recording victories over Rizespor, Fenerbahçe, and PAOK, and drawing with Kasimpasa in a match where Osimhen scored twice.
Given his strong start, Galatasaray is reportedly considering extending the loan, though it seems the striker will focus on joining a bigger club permanently in 2025. For now, all parties have ruled out a transfer in the winter window.
