PSG are reportedly ready to bid over €200 million for Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior, whose outburst during El Clásico has intensified speculation about his future.
Paris Saint-Germain are preparing a blockbuster offer worth more than €200 million to sign Vinicius Junior from Real Madrid, according to reports from RMC Sport. The French champions see the Brazilian as their next global superstar — and the timing of their move couldn’t be more strategic.
Just days after Real Madrid’s 2-1 El Clasico victory over Barcelona, the 24-year-old winger made headlines for all the wrong reasons. In the 71st minute, coach Xabi Alonso decided to substitute him for Rodrygo, prompting an explosive reaction that stunned fans and teammates alike.
“Me? Me? Coach, coach!” Vinicius reportedly shouted in disbelief before storming off to the dressing room. Cameras captured his visible frustration, and according to DAZN, the forward was heard muttering, “I’m leaving the team… I’m leaving, I’d better go!”
As tensions escalated, goalkeeping coach Luis Llopis followed Vinicius into the locker room to calm him down. Minutes later, the Brazilian returned to the bench, and after the match, Alonso assured reporters that the issue would be handled internally.
According to journalist Jose Luis Sanchez, Vinicius later apologized to his teammates and coaching staff, and privately to Alonso himself. “He admitted his mistake, and the staff saw it as a positive step forward,” Sanchez reported.
Still, the incident has fueled ongoing transfer speculation. Real Madrid had reportedly begun contract renewal talks with Vinicius’ camp in January to fend off interest from Saudi clubs and other European giants. However, RMC Sport claims PSG are now the only club seriously pursuing him and that the player is open to the move.
The Parisians view Vinicius as the perfect successor to Kylian Mbappé and are willing to break the €200 million barrier to secure his signature. For now, neither Real Madrid nor Vinicius’ representatives have issued an official response, but the story has added fresh drama to an already turbulent chapter in the winger’s career.
Vinicius has started 10 of Real Madrid’s 13 matches this season, scoring five goals and providing four assists. Despite his importance to the team, his emotional reaction at El Clasico has reopened questions about his future loyalty — and whether his next chapter might begin in Paris.
