While Fabian Ruiz celebrated PSG's Champions League triumph in Paris, two teenage burglars attempted to break into his home but were caught and arrested without causing damage.
Fabian Ruiz was celebrating on the streets of Paris after Paris Saint-Germain's historic Champions League triumph when his home was nearly broken into by two teenage thieves.
The Spanish midfielder, who enjoyed a standout season with five goals and 10 assists in 54 matches, became the latest victim in a string of attempted burglaries targeting PSG players. Fortunately, the two underage suspects were caught red-handed and arrested before they could steal anything.
According to French media, the break-in attempt occurred while Ruiz was away at the team's post-final celebrations. The house was unharmed, and no valuables were taken thanks to the swift response of law enforcement.
This incident follows a similar pattern seen in recent years at PSG. Players including Willian Pacho (in March), Sergio Rico, Angel Di Maria, and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting have also been targeted. Team captain Marquinhos experienced a particularly traumatic event when his parents were attacked during a home invasion.
PSG ended the 2024–25 season on a high note, lifting four trophies, with Ruiz a vital contributor both for club and Spain’s national team. As security concerns persist, players continue to push for better protection during high-profile absences.
