Willian Pacho cemented his place among Europe's elite defenders with an exceptional performance in Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League round-of-16 victory against Liverpool at Anfield.
The 23-year-old Ecuadorian defender played a decisive role, dominating physically and tactically throughout the high-stakes match. His standout statistics—seven clearances and five interceptions—highlight his crucial impact in PSG’s progression to the quarter-finals.
PSG's sporting director, Luis Campos, faced criticism initially for signing Pacho from Eintracht Frankfurt. However, after just six months, this decision has proven to be one of his best acquisitions.
Coach Luis Enrique places enormous trust in Pacho, who now leads PSG in minutes played this season.
