Pablo Sarabia nears a return to La Liga with Celta Vigo, as advanced negotiations with Wolves could see the winger join the Galician club this winter.
Pablo Sarabia appears to be on the verge of a move back to La Liga, this time to wear the jersey of Celta Vigo. The former Real Madrid Castilla player has struggled for game time at Wolves, making his departure this winter highly anticipated.
While Sarabia was initially linked with a return to Sevilla, Celta Vigo has emerged as the frontrunner in recent days. The Galician club reportedly used a creative approach in negotiations, leveraging their existing agreement with Wolves over the loan of Strand Larsen last summer. As part of that deal, Wolves committed to a €27 million payment, a figure that could now be reduced with Sarabia’s transfer.
Negotiations between the two clubs are said to be in the final stages, with Sarabia’s return to Spanish football potentially being announced as early as next week. This signing would further strengthen Claudio Giráldez’s project, which has steadily progressed since he took charge last season.
Sarabia’s arrival would be seen as the finishing touch to Celta’s plans for the current campaign, adding valuable experience and creativity to their squad.
