Slovenian striker Andraž Šporar is open to leaving Panathinaikos in January, but denies any current negotiations or interest from Red Star Belgrade.

Speculation about Andraž Šporar potentially joining Red Star Belgrade has resurfaced, as Serbian media link the Slovenian forward with a move to Marakana Stadium. However, sources close to the player suggest that these rumors may be premature.

The Slovenian international, under contract with Panathinaikos until 2026, is reportedly looking for opportunities to leave Athens after losing his key role at the club. While Red Star has monitored him for years, there is no concrete offer or ongoing discussions at this stage.

Sources confirm that Šporar has not received any formal approach from Red Star’s management, including sporting director Zvezdan Terzić. That said, a January exit from Panathinaikos remains a strong possibility as the striker seeks a new challenge.

Given Red Star's history of interest in Šporar, a transfer cannot be ruled out entirely. The coming weeks will likely provide clarity on whether the Serbian champions make a move or if other clubs enter the race for the 29-year-old forward.
