Paris FC signs Moses Simon and Nhoa Sangui in €12 million double deal, marking the start of an ambitious project to rival PSG in Ligue 1.

Paris FC has made its first notable moves in the transfer market as part of a long-term project backed by the Arnault family and Red Bull, which aims to elevate the club into a serious competitor for both domestic and European honours.

Following months of planning and restructuring, the club has now completed two record transfers, offering the first tangible sign of its ambitions ahead of the 2025/26 season. While there have been no bombastic declarations, Paris FC’s strategic investment model appears clear—build steadily, invest wisely, and develop into a Champions League-calibre side.

The club's first marquee signing is Moses Simon, the Nigerian winger who joins from Nantes in a deal worth €7 million. Simon is a proven performer in Ligue 1, having made over 180 appearances in the French top flight. Last season, he tallied 8 goals and 10 assists, confirming his reputation as a dynamic and creative wide player.

The second addition is 19-year-old full-back Nhoa Sangui, who arrives from Reims for €5 million. Despite Reims' relegation, Sangui was one of their more promising young prospects and is seen as a player with significant long-term potential.

Both transfers are the most expensive in Paris FC’s history, underlining a shift in the club’s profile and financial capabilities. However, these investments are still modest when compared to cross-city giants Paris Saint-Germain, whose dominance Paris FC hopes to challenge in the future.

According to L'Équipe, the club is expected to make further additions, but its total summer transfer budget will reportedly be capped at €40 million—a clear sign of controlled but targeted growth under its new ownership structure.

The project is being watched closely due to its backing by LVMH, led by Europe’s richest man Bernard Arnault, and Red Bull, known for its success in developing clubs like RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg.
