FIFA have suspended Partizan for three transfer windows over unpaid debts to Patrik Andrade, putting the club under pressure to settle finances and protect its European licence.x

FIFA have imposed a transfer ban on Partizan, covering the next three transfer windows until summer 2027, due to unpaid financial obligations to former player Patrik Andrade, amounting to €1.3 million.

The decision means Partizan are prohibited from registering new players. In Serbia, the enforcement of the ban has been entrusted to the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Football Association of Serbia (FSS), chaired by Ivan Nikolić.

CAS ruling behind the sanction

Partizan can be removed from FIFA’s list of suspended clubs immediately if the outstanding debt is settled. According to unofficial information, the sanction is a direct consequence of a Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruling, after the club exhausted all legal remedies in its dispute with Andrade.

The midfielder played for Partizan from summer 2022 to summer 2023, making 26 appearances, scoring two goals and providing three assists during his spell at the club.

Additional claims and mounting pressure

At the same time, the agent who brought Andrade to Partizan has also filed a lawsuit against the club over outstanding claims of around €270,000, which had previously resulted in a temporary ban on registering new players.

Further pressure comes from an upcoming UEFA financial monitoring, scheduled for 15 January. Partizan will be required to present a financial situation free of outstanding debts in order to retain their chances of obtaining a European licence. Failure to do so could further complicate plans for the January transfer window.

FIFA’s decision has raised fresh concerns over the club’s financial stability and its potential impact on transfer policy, with Partizan’s leadership now working to find a solution that would secure continued participation in European competitions and ensure normal operations in the coming years.
