Paul Pogba has invested in Saudi camel-racing team Al Habub, becoming both shareholder and ambassador of the traditional and lucrative Middle Eastern sport.

Paul Pogba, currently with Monaco and once a cornerstone of the French national team, has taken on a new off-field venture that fits perfectly with Middle Eastern sporting culture. The midfielder has invested in Al Habub, a Saudi Arabia–based camel-racing team competing in one of the region’s most traditional and lucrative sports.

In the club’s official statement, Al Habub announced that Pogba is joining both as a shareholder and an ambassador, strengthening their vision for growth and helping the sport reach new audiences.

As the statement explained, “Pogba as a shareholder has a vested interest in the future of the team. As an ambassador, he becomes a bridge between cultures, introducing camel racing to audiences who may be discovering it for the first time.”

Camel racing remains deeply rooted in Gulf heritage, drawing large crowds and significant financial investment. Pogba says he has become genuinely fascinated by the sport.

“I’ve watched many camel races on YouTube and spent time researching the techniques and strategies. What really struck me is how much dedication is required from everyone involved. In the end, sport is sport — it demands heart, sacrifice and teamwork,” Pogba said.

His involvement marks one of the most high-profile crossovers between European football and Middle Eastern sporting culture in recent years, adding a new chapter to his career as he continues to explore opportunities beyond the pitch.
