Paul Pogba turns to basketball, joins Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler in Florida

Paul Pogba, sidelined from football due to a doping ban, has turned his attention to basketball. The former Juventus star linked up with his friend, Miami Heat and NBA standout Jimmy Butler, during a visit to Florida.

Pogba was spotted at the Kaseya Center cheering on Butler in the Miami Heat’s 123-118 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. After the game, Pogba joined Butler on the court, showcasing his basketball skills. He later shared clips of their session on his Instagram story, highlighting their strong bond.

The 31-year-old Frenchman, a World Cup winner, has been serving a suspension for doping. While his ban has been reduced from four years to 18 months, he remains unable to return to professional football until March 2025. In November, Juventus terminated Pogba’s contract by mutual agreement, leaving him a free agent.

This isn’t the first time Pogba and Butler have connected. Earlier this month, Pogba and his wife Zulay visited Florida to watch Butler in action, reinforcing their friendship. Butler is known for his ties to football stars, including his close friendship with Brazilian icon Neymar.

Pogba has been linked to several clubs in MLS and the Premier League, though no decisions about his future have been made. For now, he appears to be enjoying his time away from football, exploring new passions and strengthening his friendships.
