Pep Guardiola celebrated another Wembley triumph as Prince William congratulated the Manchester City boss, while Rayan Cherki went viral after asking the royal for a selfie.

Prince William shared a humorous exchange with Pep Guardiola after Manchester City won the FA Cup at Wembley.
City defeated Chelsea 1-0 to secure Guardiola’s 20th major trophy since arriving at the club a decade ago.
As the Manchester City manager walked up the Wembley steps to collect his medal, the Prince of Wales greeted him with a smile and joked:
“Another one, hey!”
Prince William then placed the winner’s medal around Guardiola’s neck before adding:
“Congratulations Pep, well done.”
The light-hearted moment quickly attracted attention online, especially after Guardiola had joked before the final that Wembley should reward him for all his appearances there.
The Spaniard recently joked:
“I am disappointed they have not made a stand for Pep.”
“So many times I have been there, at least a lounge or a box or something like that.”
Saturday’s final marked Guardiola’s 24th appearance at Wembley as Manchester City manager in either a semi-final or final of a domestic cup competition.
Prince William, who attended the final in his role as President and Patron of the FA, also congratulated several Manchester City players individually after the match.
He joked in similar fashion with defender John Stones, whose personal trophy collection at City now stands at 17.
Another memorable moment came when Rayan Cherki excitedly asked Prince William and FA chair Debbie Hewitt for a selfie during the celebrations.
The wholesome interaction quickly spread across social media after City players celebrated their second trophy of the season following the earlier Carabao Cup success.
Prince William’s appearance also attracted attention because of his strong support for Aston Villa.
The royal was heavily involved emotionally during Villa’s recent European success and is reportedly expected to attend the club’s upcoming European final in Istanbul.
Before kick-off at Wembley, Prince William greeted both squads on the pitch.
One amusing moment came when Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford, still wearing his gloves, greeted the royal with a fist bump instead of a handshake.
For Guardiola, another Wembley triumph further strengthened one of the most successful managerial eras in English football history.
