Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai sparked debate again with his latest fashion choice as football stars reacted on social media.
Dominik Szoboszlai has become one of those footballers who attracts attention long before the match even starts. The Liverpool midfielder is known for his fashion choices almost as much as his performances, and his arrival at the Hungary national team gathering created exactly the reaction many have come to expect from him.
The Hungarian captain appeared in an outfit that immediately divided opinion online. Some supporters praised the look, others questioned it, while many simply focused on the accessories, especially the designer bag that completed another expensive and eye-catching appearance from one of football’s most fashion-conscious players.
In many ways, Szoboszlai has become for Hungarian football what Jules Koundé represents in France, a player whose wardrobe choices generate almost as much discussion as his football.
The photos quickly spread across social media after Szoboszlai posted them on Instagram, triggering thousands of reactions. Among the comments were also several well-known names from the football world. Hugo Ekitike joked that the "shoes are very small", while Erling Haaland offered only a mysterious "hmmmmm". Federico Chiesa appeared to approve of the outfit, and even Brazilian legend Roberto Carlos joined in with applause.
Love the style or hate it, Szoboszlai achieved exactly what bold fashion usually aims to do, people noticed. The midfielder remains one of Hungary’s biggest stars and is currently valued at around €100 million according to Transfermarkt, making him one of the most valuable footballers his country has ever produced.
Hungary will not appear at the upcoming World Cup, so Szoboszlai’s immediate focus shifts toward friendly matches against Finland and Kazakhstan. Until then, supporters seem more interested in discussing something else entirely, his wardrobe.
