Leeds United and Burnley secure promotion to the Premier League. Four teams remain in contention for the lucrative playoff final dubbed the '€300 million match'.

Leeds United and Burnley are officially back in the Premier League, sealing promotion from the Championship with two games to spare after dominant seasons in England’s second tier.

Both clubs confirmed their return on the same day. Leeds produced a spectacular 6–0 victory over Stoke City at Elland Road, with Dutch striker Joel Piroe scoring four goals. Former Barcelona full-back Junior Firpo and rising Italian talent Wilfried Gnonto also added their names to the scoresheet.

Meanwhile, Burnley earned promotion by defeating Sheffield United 2–1. The club, now coached by former England international Scott Parker, is unbeaten in 31 consecutive league matches, showcasing the kind of consistency that defines champions.

With Ipswich Town, Leicester City, and Southampton already relegated from the top flight, attention now shifts to the fierce fight for the final Premier League ticket—through the promotion playoffs, which culminate in the so-called “€300 million match”, the most valuable single fixture in world football.

Sheffield United and Sunderland have already booked their places in the playoffs, while the final two spots remain up for grabs. Bristol City, Coventry, Middlesbrough, Millwall, and Blackburn Rovers are all still in the hunt, with the final standings to be determined in the last two rounds.
