Martin Baturina's impressive World Cup performances have reignited transfer speculation, with several European heavyweights reportedly monitoring the Como midfielder.

Another summer has brought another wave of transfer speculation surrounding Martin Baturina. After impressing for Croatia at the World Cup, the Como midfielder is once again being linked with some of Europe's biggest clubs.
Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have reportedly renewed their interest in the 22-year-old, while Manchester United is also among the clubs said to be monitoring his progress.
Although the rumors continue to gather momentum, Baturina remains under contract with Como, where he enjoyed an impressive debut season after arriving from Dinamo Zagreb.
World Cup performances boost his reputation
Baturina enhanced his growing reputation with several eye-catching displays during Croatia's World Cup campaign.
His performance against England, in particular, attracted praise, and many in Croatia believe he will become one of the leaders of the national team in the years ahead.
At club level, head coach Cesc Fàbregas regularly deployed him either as a left-sided attacker or in his preferred role behind the striker, where his creativity and technical ability stood out throughout the Serie A season.
Huge price tag
According to reports in Croatia, José Mourinho is also among the admirers of the Croatian international. The Portuguese coach famously signed Luka Modrić for Real Madrid in 2012 after working with him at Tottenham, and Baturina is now being mentioned as another Croatian talent capable of reaching the very highest level.
Como, however, are under no pressure to sell.
Baturina is under contract until the summer of 2030, and reports suggest the Italian club would demand around €80 million before considering offers.
It would represent a huge profit for Como, who signed the Croatian playmaker from Dinamo Zagreb only last year.
Whether one of Europe's elite clubs is prepared to meet that valuation remains one of the biggest transfer questions of the summer.
