Real Madrid have reportedly completed one of the most creative transfer deals of the summer, allowing Nico Paz to remain at Como while keeping firm control over his long-term future.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the two clubs have reached an agreement that will see Como permanently acquire the 21-year-old Argentina international for €60 million.

The arrangement follows an unusual sequence of events. Real Madrid first exercised their existing buy-back clause, re-signing Paz for around €10 million, before immediately offering Como the opportunity to purchase him again. The Serie A club accepted the proposal, ensuring the midfielder remains at the heart of their ambitious project.

Real Madrid keep control of Nico Paz's future

Although Paz will continue his development in Italy, Real Madrid has ensured they remain closely connected to one of Argentina's brightest young talents.

The agreement reportedly includes a new €80 million buy-back clause, giving Madrid the option to bring the midfielder back to the Santiago Bernabéu in the future. The Spanish giants have also secured approximately 50 percent of any future transfer fee should Como eventually sell the player to another club.

The structure of the deal allows Como to keep one of their biggest stars while giving Real Madrid significant long-term control over the player's career.

Inter miss out

The agreement is also a setback for Inter Milan, who had closely monitored the situation and were reportedly prepared to enter negotiations if Como and Real Madrid failed to reach an agreement.

Instead, Como decided to make one of the biggest investments in the club's history to retain a player who played a major role in their outstanding campaign.

Paz emerged as one of the standout performers in Serie A under coach Cesc Fàbregas, attracting interest from several of Europe's biggest clubs with his consistent displays.

By completing this complex agreement, Real Madrid have combined immediate financial profit with long-term sporting security, while Como have made a statement of intent ahead of their historic UEFA Champions League campaign.
