Real Madrid has taken the unusual step of publicly denying reports linking the club with Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández, insisting it has not attempted to sign the Argentina international.
Speculation surrounding Fernández intensified in recent days after comments from his representatives suggested they were exploring options for the midfielder's future. Real Madrid was repeatedly named as one of the potential destinations.
The Spanish giants have now responded with an official statement, categorically rejecting the rumours.

"Given the information and statements that have emerged in recent days regarding the alleged interest of Real Madrid C.F. in the player Enzo Fernández, the club wishes to state that it has not carried out any action, either directly or indirectly, to sign the aforementioned player, nor does it intend to do so."
