Bild claims Michael Olise has told France teammates he wants Real Madrid, but Bayern insist the winger is not for sale and has made no formal request.

Bayern Munich supporters have been given another reason to worry about Michael Olise, with conflicting reports continuing to surround the French star’s future.
The German champions have repeatedly insisted that Olise will not be sold. Bayern views the 24-year-old as a central figure in their sporting project and wants to extend his contract with a significant salary increase.
Real Madrid, however, have a long history of turning apparently unavailable players into major signings.
According to Bild, Olise wants to move to the Santiago Bernabéu and has discussed that ambition with several teammates in the France national team.
The report adds that Olise is not expected to force an immediate transfer or create a public confrontation with Bayern. He remains comfortable in Munich but considers Real Madrid the preferred destination for the next stage of his career.
That alleged ambition is one reason he is currently reluctant to extend a contract that already runs until June 2029.
There is no urgency from the player’s perspective. Olise still has three years remaining on his agreement and can afford to wait while Real Madrid and Bayern assess their future options.
Other German reports present a very different picture.
Sport1 and Sky Germany claim that neither Olise nor his representatives have submitted a transfer request. Bayern officials reportedly view the latest speculation as summer drama rather than evidence of an imminent departure.
The winger’s contract contains no release clause, leaving Bayern in complete control of any negotiations.
The Bavarian club have made their position unusually clear. Olise is not for sale, and senior officials have suggested that even an offer approaching €200 million would not automatically change their stance.
Bayern instead wants to offer him a new contract worth more than €25 million gross per season. Such an agreement would place him alongside Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala among the club’s leading earners.
Olise has earned that status through two exceptional seasons in Germany. He registered 53 goal contributions for Bayern last season and was named the Bundesliga’s player of the season.
He also produced six assists for France at the World Cup, further strengthening his reputation as one of the most creative attacking players in football.
Real Madrid have monitored him since the beginning of the summer. Olise is reportedly admired by President Florentino Pérez, who promised a major signing worth at least €150 million during the club’s presidential campaign.
No such transfer has yet materialised.
Madrid’s immediate ability to pursue Olise may depend on a major departure. Reports in Spain suggest the club would need to sell one of its established attacking stars before creating space and sufficient financial room for another blockbuster signing.
The Spanish giants would also require Olise to communicate his desire more directly. They have no intention of beginning an expensive and potentially damaging confrontation with Bayern unless the player publicly or formally requests the move.
Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with Olise, particularly if Bradley Barcola leaves the French champions. Premier League clubs would have the financial strength to join the race, although the player’s reported preference is Madrid.
Former Bayern captain Lothar Matthäus understands why the Bernabéu could appeal to the winger but believes a transfer this summer is extremely unlikely.
“Real Madrid are a dream for many players,” Matthäus told Bild. “But I cannot imagine Bayern entering negotiations. The chance of a transfer is practically zero.”
Bayern want to define itself as a club that signs stars rather than sells its best players. Allowing Olise to leave at the height of his development would directly contradict that message.
The situation therefore contains two separate questions. Does Olise dream of playing for Real Madrid at some point, and is he prepared to leave Bayern this summer?
Bild believes the answer to the first question is yes. There is currently little evidence that the answer to the second is the same.
Bayern remain in control, but the rumours will continue until Olise signs a new contract, publicly commits his future or Real Madrid finally turn their attention elsewhere.
