Kylian Mbappé’s injury after a rough tackle by Jonathan Tah has gone viral, with Real Madrid furious over the referee’s decision to show only a yellow card.

The Bayern defender stepped on him from behind, above the ankle of his right leg, and pushed him with both hands. Referee Michael Oliver chose to show only a yellow card.

Fans, players, and Real Madrid’s coach Alvaro Arbeloa all expressed frustration, questioning how the challenge did not result in a red card.
Images of the incident quickly spread online, especially those showing the condition of Mbappé’s leg after the tackle.
The contact tore his socks and left his lower leg bloody, further fueling the debate.
Arbeloa addressed the situation directly after the match.
"Why didn't the referee see a red card for Mbappé?"
Spanish outlet Marca also criticized the decision.
"Referee Oliver's decision to give only a yellow card for Tah's dangerous tackle on Mbappé justifiably caused outrage."
