French newspaper L'Equipe reports that Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti will start tonight’s Champions League match without French superstar Kylian Mbappe.
Real Madrid will play their second Champions League match away against Lille, aiming for a second consecutive victory to ensure a smooth progression through the group stage.
In recent days, there was much talk about Kylian Mbappe missing the match due to injury, but the latest reports suggest that Mbappe has already recovered. However, out of caution, he is expected to start the game on the bench.
Also missing will be recently injured goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who will be replaced between the posts by last season’s backup, Andriy Lunin.
L'Equipe has predicted the starting lineup for the Galacticos as follows: Andriy Lunin; Ferland Mendy, Antonio Rüdiger, Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal; Luka Modrić, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Federico Valverde; Jude Bellingham; Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo.
