Real Sociedad and Sevilla chase Marco Asensio ahead of summer transfer window

Both Real Sociedad and Sevilla previously tried to sign Asensio when it became clear he was leaving Madrid, but neither could compete with PSG’s financial package at the time. Sevilla, however, faces challenges. The Andalusian side would need to offload players to create financial flexibility. While they can offer Asensio a competitive salary, their failure to secure a return to European competition could make it difficult to convince him to join.

On the other hand, Real Sociedad appears to be the more attractive option. The Basque club has made remarkable progress in recent years, becoming a popular destination for established players looking for stability and growth. Asensio fits the profile favored by coach Imanol Alguacil, and his arrival could be one of the surprises of the summer transfer window.

With his future uncertain, the 27-year-old will have to weigh his options carefully as he looks to reignite his career in Spain.
