Red Star Belgrade rejected a €6 million offer from Celtic for 17-year-old defender Veljko Milosavljević, who has also attracted interest from English clubs.

Crvena zvezda have reportedly rejected a €6 million bid from Celtic for Veljko Milosavljević, a highly-rated 17-year-old central defender from Požarevac, Serbia.

According to Mozzart Sport, the Scottish club sent representatives to Belgrade in an attempt to negotiate a deal for the 2007-born defender, who made a name for himself in the second half of the 2024/25 season. Milosavljević impressed after stepping up following the departures of Uroš Spajić, Nasser Djiga, and Vanja Drkušić.

However, Red Star officials were not impressed by Celtic’s offer, deeming the €6 million bid too low for a player regarded as one of the most promising Serbian defenders in recent years.

The young centre-back is also being monitored by two English clubs, although no formal bids have been submitted from the Premier League or Championship so far.

If Milosavljević does leave, it would mark another major exit from Red Star's 2007 generation, following continued speculation surrounding the future of Andrija Maksimović, who is also on the radar of top European sides.
